One of the great things about working at a school is that surprising things are always happening. Still, I’m guessing that when former head of school Robert Blair woke up on Open House day thirteen years ago, he didn’t expect to be wrangling a distraught groundhog who’d gotten its head stuck inside a peanut butter jar.
Luckily, Mr. Blair was adept with a net. As Ms. Fore supervised, Mr. Blair captured the confused creature. Reinforcements soon rolled up in the golf cart. Mr. Wilhelmi, Mr. Ferner, and Ms. Turner managed to keep the groundhog still while they worked the jar off its head. A short time later, the little critter was released unharmed. All in a day’s work!
